Manchester United will be bidding to book their spot in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup when they take on Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils made it seven straight victories in all competitions when they recorded a 3-1 victory over Everton on Friday night to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Erik ten Hag's side will now be aiming to advance to the final four of another cup competition, as the club chase silverware this season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Charlton, who have beaten Queens Park Rangers, Walsall, Stevenage and Brighton & Hove Albion in this season's EFL Cup.

Jadon Sancho

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: January 10 (vs. Charlton)

Jadon Sancho again missed out against Everton, with the attacker recently undergoing an individual fitness programme, and he remains a major doubt for this contest.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Axel Tuanzebe has stepped up his recovery from a long-term injury problem, but the centre-back remains on the sidelines for Ten Hag's side.

Donny van de Beek

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Donny van de Beek had to be substituted against Bournemouth last week after suffering a serious knee injury. A timeframe for his return has not been set, but there are fears he could miss the rest of the season.

MAN UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST
