Manchester United will be missing seven players for the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final with Sevilla on Thursday night.

The Red Devils are without the services of influential midfielder Bruno Fernandes following his booking in the first leg of the last-eight tie last week, which finished 2-2.

Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane both picked up injuries in the reverse match, with the former out for the season, while the latter is facing 'a few weeks' on the sidelines.

Donny van de Beek, Alejandro Garnacho, Scott McTominay and Tom Heaton will also definitely be missing for the 20-time English champions due to injury problems.

Erik ten Hag's side had a number of other fitness concerns, with Tyrell Malacia missing Sunday's 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League with a knee injury, while Marcel Sabitzer, who netted twice in the first leg last week, suffered a muscular issue in the warm-up.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford have also recently been on the sidelines with injury problems, but the pair have been named in the squad alongside Malacia and Sabitzer, with all four training on Wednesday morning.

Shaw is believed to have the best chance of returning from a hamstring issue to make the XI, while Rashford could be on the bench, as he bids to recover from the problem that has kept him out of the team's last two matches.

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are set to benefit from the injuries to Martinez and Varane, with the pair likely to continue in the middle of the defence for Thursday's match in Spain.
