Manchester United team news: Predicted XI vs. Young Boys

By , Assistant Editor | 5d
Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up for their Champions League Group H clash against Young Boys at Old Trafford.

Manchester United could book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League with a game to spare when they host Young Boys at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

A famous victory away to Juventus on matchday four means that United now sit second in Group H, just two points behind the Serie A outfit heading into their penultimate match of the group stages.

Another win over Young Boys, coupled with anything other than a Valencia triumph over Juventus, would send Jose Mourinho's side through and take the pressure off their final match against the Spanish outfit.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Red Devils could line up for the contest.

Out: Diogo Dalot (unspecified)
Doubtful: Victor Lindelof (groin)

Victor Lindelof is expected to miss Tuesday's match after picking up a groin injury during Saturday's goalless draw at home to Crystal Palace.

Eric Bailly was absent from that squad entirely but is likely to come back into the side for his first appearance since October 6 and partner Chris Smalling.

Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku were among the players to recover from injuries and feature against Palace, but the latter faces a battle to keep hold of his role up front having drawn another blank.

Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez will be hoping for a recall, while Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera are also pushing for a starting berth in midfield.

Diogo Dalot is the only confirmed absentee, but Luke Shaw is able to return after serving a one-game domestic ban against the Eagles.
