Real Madrid 'eye Sergio Aguero after Manchester City ban'

Real Madrid could reportedly attempt to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero at the end of the season.

Real Madrid could reportedly move for Manchester City attacker Sergio Aguero at the end of the season.

The news that City have been banned from European competition for the next two years could allegedly see a number of first-team players leave the Etihad Stadium in this summer's transfer window.

Kevin De Bruyne will reportedly consider his future if the English champions are unable to overturn the suspension, and according to AS, Aguero's future in Manchester is also in doubt.

The 31-year-old, who is City's all-time leading goalscorer with 252 in all competitions, will see his contract with Pep Guardiola's side expire at the end of next season.

The Argentina international has previously expressed a desire to return to former club Independiente, but the report from Spain claims that Real Madrid could attempt to sign the attacker this summer.

Aguero scored 100 goals in 230 appearances for Los Blancos' bitter rivals Atletico Madrid between 2006 and 2011 before moving to England.
