Manchester City to sign Keylor Navas on emergency loan?

A report claims that Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas is an option for Manchester City, who are looking to replace injured back-up stopper Claudio Bravo.

Manchester City are reportedly looking to bring in Keylor Navas on an emergency loan from Real Madrid to plug a gap in their goalkeeping ranks.

The Citizens have lost back-up keeper Claudio Bravo to an Achilles injury that is expected to rule the Chilean out of action for around six months.

Rookie stopper Daniel Grimshaw is City's only other option, leaving Pep Guardiola facing a potential crisis if first choice Ederson is injured or suspended between now and February.

According to Spanish outlet AS, plans are already in place to sign Navas, with the Premier League expected to sanction the loan deal if an agreement is reached between City and Madrid.

Navas has made 144 appearances for Los Blancos since joining in 2014, but the 31-year-old's future at the Bernabeu has been called into question following the recent arrival of Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea.

Barcelona's Jasper Cillessen, who has struggled for playing time at Camp Nou, is also being mooted.
