Manchester City are reportedly ready to offer Phil Foden a new contract, and hope that Raheem Sterling will also agree new terms at the Etihad.

The Premier League leaders were boosted with the news that Kevin De Bruyne has signed a new two-year contract extension, and are now aiming to follow that up with more renewals.

Foden has enjoyed an impressive campaign so far, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists, and vitally got a late winner in City's first-leg Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

Sterling has also given Pep Guardiola positive returns this season as he has netted 13 times and produced 11 assists for his teammates.

Eurosport reports that the 26-year-old's contract negotiations are delayed after he recently split with his agent Aidy Ward, while talks with Foden are progressing and an agreement is close.

Man City currently sit top of the Premier League, 14 points clear of Manchester United in second, and remain in all four competitions as they pursue the quadruple.
