Loris Karius closing in on Liverpool exit?

:Headline: Loris Karius closing in on Liverpool exit?:
Liverpool keeper Loris Karius is reportedly close to leaving the club on loan again, with Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin understood to have won the race for his signature

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is reportedly close to sealing another loan move away from the club.

The 27-year-old spent the majority of the past two seasons with Turkish outfit Besiktas, but that agreement was terminated early due to a row over unpaid wages.

Alisson Becker is now the undisputed number one at Anfield, leaving Karius surplus to requirements - as he has been at Liverpool since making two costly errors in the 2018 Champions League final.

The Reds had been hoping to offload Karius on a permanent basis this summer, but no clubs were willing to meet his £6m asking price.

Goal reports that the German shot-stopper will instead leave on loan, with Union Berlin thought to have beaten city rivals Hertha Berlin and Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier in the race for his signature.

Liverpool are hopeful that a good season for Karius elsewhere could help to drive his price up further before selling him next summer, with his contract due to expire in 2022. body check tags ::
