Liverpool will reportedly consider using Ben Doak as part of a transfer package to sign Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo.

Doak is currently on loan at Championship outfit Middlesbrough and has made 21 first-team appearances for Michael Carrick's side that sit fifth in the table.

The 19-year-old winger was named Championship Player of the Month for November after providing five assists in as many matches, while he has also chipped in with two goals so far this season.

Doak's form in the second tier is understood to have caught the eye of a number of clubs in England and abroad, with Crystal Palace alleged to have seen a £15m offer turned down by Liverpool.

Ipswich Town are also believed to have failed with an bid to sign the Scotland international, who is valued closer to £30m and is under contract on Merseyside until June 2026.

Liverpool are said to be happy with Doak's progress at Middlesbrough and they believe that he still has a future at Anfield and can be integrated in Arne Slot's first-team squad.

Liverpool to include Doak in bid for Semenyo?

However, the Northern Echo reports that Bournemouth are interested in signing Doak and Liverpool officials have 'indicated a willingness' to consider including the teenager in a package deal to recruit Cherries star Semenyo.

The report adds that Liverpool have identified Semenyo as a 'leading long-term attacking target', and while Bournemouth are determined to keep the Ghana international, there is an acceptance from the Cherries that they could be 'vulnerable' if a club such as Liverpool table a bid.

Bournemouth are said to value Semenyo at around £50m, a figure that Liverpool would ideally not want to pay during the January transfer window.

However, the Reds feel that including a player of interest to Bournemouth in the form of Doak could appeal to the Cherries and allow Slot's side to secure Semenyo for a reduced fee.

Semenyo has been a standout performer for Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth this season, chipping in with six goals and three assists in 21 appearances, and he has a contract at the Vitality Stadium until June 2029.

Liverpool's interest in Semenyo comes at a time when there is still uncertainty surrounding the future of star attacker Mohamed Salah, who is out of contract in the summer, while Darwin Nunez was allegedly the subject of a £70m bid from Al-Hilal, which has been rejected by the Reds. body check tags ::
