Liverpool considering move for Torino defender Bremer?

Liverpool are reportedly considering an approach for Torino defender Bremer as they look to replace the injured Joe Gomez.

Liverpool have reportedly identified Torino defender Bremer as a potential January signing.

Already without Virgil van Dijk to a serious knee injury, Liverpool lost Joe Gomez for a significant part of the campaign earlier this week after the Englishman suffered a knee injury of his own on international duty.

With Joel Matip having endured fitness issues over the past 18 months, Jurgen Klopp has been left short of experienced options in the middle of his backline.

According to The Athletic, Bremer may be added to the Liverpool squad at the midway point of the season.

The Brazilian has made a total of 48 appearances in all competitions since moving to Torino in 2018.

While the 23-year-old possesses a contract until the end of 2022-23, Liverpool allegedly feel that they could sign the player for a reasonable fee.
