West Ham United have announced that attacker Jarrod Bowen has signed a new seven-year contract, keeping him tied to the London Stadium until the summer of 2030.

The 26-year-old has established himself as a star player for the Hammers since joining the club from Hull City in 2020, scoring 45 goals and providing 33 assists in 167 appearances across all competitions.

During his time in East London, Bowen has helped West Ham secure European qualification in three successive seasons and became the club's first player in over two decades to register 10 goals and 10 assists in the same campaign in 2021-22.

Bowen scored the winning goal in West Ham's 2-1 triumph over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final last season to help the Hammers lift their first European trophy for 58 years.

The England international has since made a bright start to the new campaign, scoring five goals and providing two assists in nine games across all competitions, and he is understood to have caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs in recent months.

Indeed, the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have been credited with an interest in Bowen, but the attacker has decided to commit his future to West Ham by penning a new long-term contract.

"I'm so pleased to have signed a new long-term contract at West Ham," Bowen told the club's official website. "Everyone knows what this club means to me, so committing my future until 2030 means so much to me and my family.

"I've loved every minute of my time here. Winning the Europa Conference League in Prague was an amazing moment, scoring the winner in the last minute will be something I'll cherish forever.

"It's left us all wanting that feeling again and again – we want to create more memories together, for our fantastic fans, and for this fantastic football club."

Manager David Moyes added: "We're delighted Jarrod has agreed a new deal. It's a brilliant piece of business from the club to tie him down to a new long-term contract," he said.

"His goal in Prague will live long in the memory for everyone connected to West Ham – it's given him a platform to go from strength to strength and we're really reaping the benefits, he's getting better and better.

"He's a fantastic boy and an outstanding professional – I'm sure his positive progress will continue over the course of his new contract."

Director Tim Steidten continued: "It's fantastic news. It's a sign of the strong position the club finds itself in when an England international is committing his long-term future to the football club.

"We're delighted he's signed a long-term deal and looking forward to him continuing to flourish at West Ham in the peak years of his career."

Bowen's new contract was announced just hours after the attacker played in West Ham's 2-2 draw with Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Englishman is now set to link up with Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad ahead of an international friendly with Australia and a Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy later this month. body check tags ::
