Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: 'No rush with Danny Ings'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp suggests that the club will not rush the return of striker Danny Ings, who is currently recovering from a serious knee injury.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Danny Ings is progressing well in his recovery from a serious knee injury.

Last October, Ings sustained another fitness setback soon after returning from an injury to his other knee and as it stands, no date has been set for a comeback.

However, while Klopp refuses to rush the striker, the German has hinted that the former Burnley man is doing everything asked of him during his rehabilitation.

The 50-year-old told the club's official website: "He is in a really good way and we are very pleased with what he is doing, but it is smart and responsible for him that we allow him maximum time and sessions - both individually and with the team.

"So maybe not involved in the matches just yet but that means nothing more than we take our time and make him strong and ready to be a part of what we are going to do."

Despite moving to Anfield in 2015, Ings has been restricted to just 11 appearances in all competitions.
