Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Saturday's Champions League final against Liverpool in Madrid.
By , Editor | 5d

Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for the biggest match in their history as they take on domestic rivals Liverpool in the final of the Champions League on Saturday night.

Spurs pulled off a stunning comeback against Ajax in the semi-final to book their place in European football's biggest fixture for the first time ever, and now only Liverpool stand in their way of creating an unprecedented slice of history for the club.

Mauricio Pochettino is bidding for his first piece of silverware as a manager too, although they finished 26 points behind the Reds in the Premier League table and lost both top-flight games against Saturday's opponents.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Spurs could line up for the contest.

Out: None
Doubt: Harry Kane (ankle), Harry Winks (groin), Jan Vertonghen (ankle), Dele Alli (muscle), Danny Rose (hamstring), Davinson Sanchez (thigh)

Pochettino must decide whether or not to start Harry Kane up front, with the England captain having been sidelined since the first leg of the quarter-final due to an ankle injury.

Kane is now back in training and has declared himself ready for Saturday's match, but Pochettino could consider using his star striker as an impact sub considering his lack of first-team football recently.

Semi-final hat-trick hero Lucas Moura is the most likely player to miss out should Kane start, with Son Heung-min, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen all expected to retain their places.

Alli is one of a number of players to have overcome minor injury troubles since the end of the Premier League season, along with Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen and possibly Davinson Sanchez.

Harry Winks remains a doubt, though, having undergone groin surgery last month and only recently returned to training.
