Inter Milan could move one step closer to the last 16 of the Champions League if they can beat already-eliminated Shakhtar Donetsk in their penultimate Group D encounter on Wednesday night.
Each of the last three meetings between these two sides have ended goalless, including September's stalemate in Ukraine.

Encounters between Inter and Shakhtar have recently seen little goalmouth action, however with both sides needing to claim a victory in their penultimate Group D match, we may see a less cagey affair on Wednesday.

Seeking to avenge their September defeat at the Parc des Princes, Manchester City welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Etihad Stadium for Wednesday's Champions League Group A battle.
The hosts currently sit at the summit with nine points to their name, but PSG are only one point behind and will also eye qualification to the next round this week.

PSG have historically struggled for a clinical edge at the Etihad, but their recent goalscoring exploits with the famed front three should certainly see them register at least once in midweek.

Brugge vs. RB Leipzig (Wednesday, 8.00pm)
With their hopes of a shock appearance in the Champions League knockout rounds hanging by the thinnest of threads, Club Brugge play host to RB Leipzig in Wednesday's Group A clash.
Meanwhile, Jesse Marsch's men are already eliminated from Europe's premier competition and can only salvage a spot in the Europa League at this late stage.

A Leipzig side low on numbers and confidence can still pose a major threat to this Brugge backline, especially with Nkunku simply unplayable in the Champions League this term.
The visitors' poor fortunes on the road have to end at some point, and even though Clement's side are going through a bit of a sticky patch themselves, an injury-hit Leipzig will likely fall short once again.

Two giants of the European game struggling to perform in the Champions League do battle at the Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday, as Atletico Madrid meet AC Milan in Group B.
Diego Simeone's men have just four points to their name from their opening four games, while the Rossoneri are bottom of the rankings with one point from a possible 12.
We say: Atletico Madrid 1-0 AC Milan
Atletico have lost the defensive resilience that made them so formidable under Simeone, but with Griezmann and Suarez linking up in the final third, a depleted Milan rearguard could be in for a long evening.
Both sides have under-performed in this season's tournament, but Atletico have proven a tough proposition at home for most sides in recent weeks and will look to boost their chances of a top-two finish at the expense of the Rossoneri's.

Having already booked their spot in the last-16 of the Champions League, Liverpool welcome Porto to Anfield for Wednesday's Group B encounter.
Jurgen Klopp's side boast a perfect record of 12 points from four games so far, while the visitors sit second in the rankings with five points to their name.

Porto will be aware that Wednesday's game represents the best chance they will have to claim their first-ever win against Liverpool, but an injury-hit and much-changed Reds outfit still pose a significant threat.
Expect to see a much closer affair between the two clubs than September's meeting at the Estadio do Dragao, but Klopp still possesses the attacking talent and guile to steer his side to an inconsequential win.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Dortmund (Wednesday, 8.00pm)
Two sides battling it out for second place in Group C will lock horns on Wednesday night, as Sporting Lisbon welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Estadio Jose Alvalade for their penultimate Champions League group-stage clash.
Both clubs are level on points after four matches, though Dortmund currently occupy second place as they have a better head-to-head record, due to their 1-0 win in the reverse fixture in September.

With Sporting needing to win by at least two goals to advance to the knockout rounds, the hosts are expected to pose an attacking threat throughout the 90 minutes, which could cause problems for Dortmund's depleted side.
