Leicester City push for signing of Dinamo Zagreb defender Filip Benkovic?

Leicester City are reportedly holding talks with Dinamo Zagreb regarding the potential signing of centre-back Filip Benkovic.

Leicester City have reportedly begun discussions with Dinamo Zagreb regarding defender Filip Benkovic.

The Foxes have money to spend after the sale of Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City, and manager Claude Puel has already made five first-team additions this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Leicester are attempting to close a deal for 21-year-old centre-back Benkovic before August 9.

The player's progress at Zagreb has been regular monitored by a number of top European clubs, but as it stands, no team has looked to push through a transfer.

Benkovic has established himself at Under-21 level for his country, and it appears that Leicester are willing to make an investment with the £13m signing of the player.
