Leicester City have reportedly pressed ahead with their efforts to sign Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk.

With reports suggesting that Harry Maguire is closing in on a move to Manchester United, Leicester have been left looking for a potential replacement for the England international.

Dunk - as well as Burnley's James Tarkowski - has been on the radar of Brendan Rodgers, who had been keen to keep Maguire at the King Power Stadium.

According to The Sun, the Foxes boss has opted to sign Dunk after an impressive two years representing the Seagulls in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old only penned an extension to his contract in October, but it appears that Brighton are happy to do business for a fee of £45m.

Any move is unlikely to be finalised until Maguire completes a transfer to Old Trafford.
