Leeds United defender Lewie Coyle loaned out to Fleetwood Town

Leeds United announce that they have allowed defender Lewie Coyle to move on loan to Fleetwood Town after handing him a three-year contract.

Leeds United defender Lewie Coyle has been allowed to join Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan deal.

Since making his first-team debut in December 2015, Coyle has gone on to make 23 appearances for Leeds, but he was only used sparingly during the second half of last season.

With new head coach Thomas Christiansen also looking to make his own signings, that has led to the 22-year-old being given permission to link up with League One outfit Fleetwood.

It sees Coyle reunited with Uwe Rosler, who was first-team manager at Leeds just before he made his debut in the senior setup.

However, before his departure, he penned a three-year contract with the Yorkshire team.
