Leeds United are allegedly among a number of clubs who are monitoring the development of Brighton & Hove Albion defender Haydon Roberts.

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Haydon Roberts has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target of Leeds United.

Last summer, the Championship leaders agreed to sign Brighton centre-back Ben White on a season-long loan, a deal which has subsequently helped the Yorkshire giants move to the brink of promotion to the Premier League.

According to The Telegraph, Marcelo Bielsa is prepared to return to the Seagulls to agree a similar arrangement for Roberts.

The 18-year-old's only senior outing has come in the EFL Cup, when the centre-back got on the scoresheet in a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa in September.

The teenager also made three appearances in the EFL Trophy earlier this season, helping Brighton's Under-21 side concede just one goal during those games.

Brentford, Derby County, RB Leipzig and Mainz 05 may all reportedly choose to rival Leeds for Roberts's signature. body check tags ::
