Thomas Christiansen hails 'bravery' of Leeds United players

Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen declares himself "very happy" with his side's 3-0 win over Bristol City, putting an end to their recent three-match losing run.

Thomas Christiansen has put Leeds United's 3-0 victory over Bristol City at Ashton Gate down to the 'bravery and belief' shown by his players.

The Whites ended a three-match losing run in style, scoring a couple of early goals through Samuel Saiz and a third via Pierre-Michel Lasogga in the second half.

Leeds dominated throughout against a below-par Robins side, with former APOEL chief Christiansen quick to hail the victory which lifts his side back up to fourth place in the Championship table.

"I was very happy with the performance of the team," he told reporters. "It is the same players who put us in the position we were in going into the match and today the difference was the intensity of our play.

"We knew we were up against a good side and that probably helped. We needed to be brave and believe in ourselves. The early goals were important and today we took our chances, whereas in other games we should have been ahead, but failed to score when we might have."

Leeds, currently five points adrift of the top two, return to action in midweek with a trip to face Leicester City in the EFL Cup.
