Juventus vice-chairman Pavel Nedved has ruled out the departures of head coach Andrea Pirlo and forward Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, even though the club are at risk of failing to qualify for the Champions League.

The Old Lady were convincingly beaten 3-0 at home to fellow Serie A giants AC Milan last weekend and that result saw them slip down to fifth, with Napoli replacing them in the top four.

Even though Juve have struggled to retain the title this season, Ronaldo has had another stellar season in front of goal, scoring 27 times in the top flight.

However, the 36-year-old is keen to play Champions League football next season and would be disappointed if the club were to miss out for the first time since 2010-11.

Meanwhile, Pirlo's future is currently being called into question, but the 41-year-old insists that he has no plans to resign.

Nevertheless, Nedved – who became a board member at Juve back in 2010 – told Italian outlet Striscia la Notizia that "Pirlo and Ronaldo will stay at Juventus" regardless as to whether they make the top four.

Juve will face Sassuolo, Bologna and champions Inter Milan in their final three Serie A matches, as they attempt to climb back into the Champions League positions. body check tags ::
