How Juventus could line up against AC Milan

By , Football League Correspondent | 5d
Ahead of Wednesday's Supercoppa Italiana clash between Juventus and AC Milan, Sports Mole looks at how Massimiliano Allegri could set out his side.

Juventus go in search of their first piece of silverware this calendar year as they take on AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia.

The Bianconeri have won each of their last six meetings with Milan since losing on penalties in the 2016 edition of this showpiece competition.

After brushing aside Bologna on their return from a two-week winter break at the weekend, Massimiliano Allegri is expected to revert to his strongest-possible XI on Wednesday evening.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Juve could line up at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

Out: Andrea Barzagli, Daniele Rugani, Mehdi Benatia, Joao Cancelo, Juan Cuadrado, Mario Mandzukic

Allegri has a number of injury problems to contend with, including the loss of Mandzukic and Cuadrado in his forward line.

That will lead to a reshuffle up top, likely meaning a start through the middle of a front three for star man Cristiano Ronaldo, with support being offered by Paulo Dybala to his right.

The other spot is up for grabs, though Douglas Costa is favourite to land it thanks to his promising display against Bologna, so Federico Bernardeschi may have to settle for a back-up role.

Juve are also without a few defenders, but Allegri can still choose from three of his four regulars.
