West Ham United striker Andy Carroll a January target for Everton?

A report claims that Everton have turned their attention to West Ham United striker Andy Carroll, whom they value at around the £20m mark.

Everton will reportedly table a £20m offer for West Ham United striker Andy Carroll in January as they look to fill the void left by Romelu Lukaku.

The Toffees were unable to truly replace the Belgian following his summer move to Manchester United, which has contributed to their slow start to the 2017-18 campaign.

Ronald Koeman was keen to bring in Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, while Kevin Gameiro of Atletico Madrid has also been linked, but The Sun reports that Carroll is the man Everton now want to lead their forward line.

Carroll has suffered from numerous injury issues since joining West Ham from Liverpool four years ago and still has 18 months left to run on his current deal.

It is claimed that Koeman will tempt the Hammers with a mid-season bid for the 28-year-old, who has featured four times this term since recovering from his latest layoff.
