How England could line up for friendly with Wales

:Headline: How England could line up for friendly with Wales:
Ahead of England's friendly with rivals Wales, Sports Mole looks at how the Three Lions could line up.

England will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run when they welcome bitter rivals Wales to Wembley on Thursday evening.

The Three Lions' four-match winning run without conceding was ended in a goalless draw with Denmark last time out.

Gareth Southgate will be hoping for a better performance when Wales visit the capital in midweek, though he is expected to be without a number of regulars.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how England could line up.

Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has pulled out of England's squad for this friendly and the UEFA Nations League clashes with Belgium and Denmark through injury.

Clubmate Phil Foden was not considered for selection after breaching coronavirus protocols in the last set of England fixtures, and that is also the case for Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood.

Three more players have fallen fouls of the rules, with Ben Chilwell, Tammy Abraham and Jadon Sancho putting their availability in jeopardy by attending a party attended by more than six people last weekend.

Southgate's options are already limited, then, but he likely would have used this game to experiment with other fringe players as there are two UEFA Nations League games to follow.

That could mean debuts for Dean Henderson, Bukayo Saka, Harvey Barnes, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Reece James, the latter of whom was called up to the squad as a late addition on Monday. body check tags ::
