Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse is reportedly in line to receive a call up to the England squad later this week.

England boss Gareth Southgate is reportedly considering an international recall for Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

The Three Lions begin their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign later this month, and Southgate is currently weighing up his options ahead of the double-header with Czech Republic and Montenegro.

According to The Mirror, Ward-Prowse features on Southgate's shortlist, with the 24-year-old having enjoyed a fine spell of form with the Saints.

The 24-year-old - who has previously played under Southgate with England Under-21s - has netted stunning free kicks in his last two Premier League outings against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The playmaker's only cap for England at senior level came against Germany two years ago.
