Willian suggests that contract talks have reached an impasse with Chelsea's board, who are against offering the winger a new three-year deal.

Willian has hinted that he still wants to remain at Chelsea past the end of this season, despite reaching an impasse over a new contract.

Despite less than four months remaining on his existing deal, Chelsea's board are unwilling to meet the demands of the long-serving senior member of the squad.

While the Blues only want to hand the Brazilian fresh terms until 2022, the 31-year-old wants a further 12 months added to the contract, leaving the playmaker in limbo until a resolution can be found.

Speaking to ESPN, Willian said: "I still don't know. There's nothing with any team. There's no offer from any team. My negotiation for now is with Chelsea.

"There's still nothing concrete from any team. And the situation with Chelsea is still that way. Chelsea offered me two, I demanded three, and it stopped there. There's nothing much."

Willian has contributed six goals and six assists in the Premier League and Champions League this season. body check tags ::
