Chelsea forward Willian 'fails to report for pre-season training'

Willian reportedly fails to return to training with Chelsea, four days after he was scheduled to report back to the club's Cobham training base.

Chelsea forward Willian has failed to report back for pre-season training on time following his extended summer break, according to a report.

The Brazil international, linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid of late, had been given extra time off by the Blues due to his exertions at the World Cup in Russia.

Willian had been scheduled to link up with his teammates last Friday, but the Daily Mail claims that 29-year-old has still not been seen at the club's Cobham training base.

A problem with the former Anzhi Makhachkala's ace's passport is reportedly to blame, and Chelsea are hopeful that the matter will be resolved for his return to training on Wednesday.

Barcelona are rumoured to have offered in excess of £55m for Willian, whose World Cup campaign ended with defeat to Belgium on July 7, while Real Madrid are said to have tabled a £100m offer that would also see long-term target Thibaut Courtois head to the Bernabeu if accepted.
