Valencia are reportedly locked in talks with Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma as the La Liga giants attempt to convince the France international to make the move to Spain.

The 22-year-old managed just three Premier League starts under Antonio Conte last season, although the defender did not return from a cruciate ligament knee injury until midway through the campaign.

Sevilla have been credited with an interest in Zouma, but according to Cadena SER, Valencia have agreed a deal for the centre-back, and are now trying to convince him to swap English football for La Liga.

The report claims that Zouma wants to stay in the Premier League as he looks for first-team football ahead of the 2018 World Cup, but Valencia are currently the only team to agree a price for the two-time France international.

Zouma came through the youth system at Saint-Etienne, and went on to make 73 first-team appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit before joining Chelsea in January 2014.
