Monaco are reportedly still interested in re-signing Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan from Chelsea.

The 25-year-old has struggled to make his mark with the Blues since arriving in 2017, and the midfielder spent the entirety of the 2018-19 campaign on loan with AC Milan.

Monaco have been linked with a move for the Frenchman in recent weeks, although it had been claimed that Chelsea wanted Bakayoko to join a more high-profile club in order to protect his future value.

Milan have since been linked with another swoop for the powerful midfielder, who still has three years left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

However, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Monaco are still in the hunt to bring the former Rennes youngster back to the principality outfit.

Bakayoko, who made 42 appearances for Milan last term, has not been involved for Frank Lampard's side in the early stages of the new campaign despite featuring during pre-season.
