Juventus could sign Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri on loan before the end of the transfer window, according to a report.

Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri could reportedly join Juventus on loan before Monday's transfer deadline.

The 26-year-old has featured on two occasions for Chelsea in the EFL Cup this season but has not been in the squad for any of their four Premier League encounters.

Emerson's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent months, with the Italy international said to be keen on a return to Serie A before the end of the transfer window.

According to Calciomercato, Juve have been in talks with the left-back's agent and are hopeful of securing a loan deal before the deadline.

Emerson has previously played in Serie A for Palermo and Roma, representing the latter on 47 occasions in all competitions before securing a move to Stamford Bridge.

The defender has little over 18 months left to run on his contract with Frank Lampard's side.
