Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic reveals that he has found some aspects of life at Stamford Bridge "tough" since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund.

Christian Pulisic has suggested that he has not always enjoyed life at Chelsea since his arrival in the summer of 2019.

The 23-year-old has scored 20 goals from 95 appearances in all competitions, as well as helping the Blues win last season's Champions League.

However, the United States international has also endured periods on the sidelines through injury, while also being forced to deputise at wing-back and in the centre of the team's attack this season.

Pulisic has been quizzed on his time at Chelsea while back in his homeland, opening up on his frustrations at the Premier League outfit.

The winger told reporters: "Obviously it has been up and down this year, for sure. Not exactly where I want to be and how I want things to be right now. I'm just going to keep going and it doesn't affect me when I come here. So I am excited to be here.

"When I come to the national team it is 'How are things with Chelsea?' and 'What's this' and 'What's that.' It's tough. Mentally it has played on me at times but I am always very excited to be on the national team and get to enjoy playing with these guys and just enjoy football in general.

"It is tough. I haven't always been playing in the positions I want to play in. But I think it is a good quality to be versatile and able to play in all kinds of positions and have different strengths on the pitch."

Pulisic, who has been linked with an exit from Chelsea, has a contract until the end of the 2023-24 campaign. body check tags ::
