Chelsea 'eye Gianluigi Donnarumma swoop'

Chelsea consider a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma as they prepare to lose out to Liverpool for Roma's Alisson Becker, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma as they prepare to lose out to Liverpool in the race to sign Alisson Becker from Roma.

New Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to lose Thibaut Courtois this summer, with the Belgian believed to be a transfer target for Real Madrid.

Sarri was believed to be keen to bring Alisson to Stamford Bridge, but Liverpool look to have won the race for the Brazil international.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Chelsea will now switch their attention to Donnarumma, who could be allowed to leave Milan this summer due to their financial problems.

The 19-year-old, who only signed a new four-year contract with Milan last summer, has made over 120 appearances for his Italian outfit since debuting in 2015.

Chelsea have also been linked with a swoop for former number one Petr Cech amid suggestions that he could leave Arsenal ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
