Chelsea youngster Trevoh Chalobah is on the verge of joining Ipswich Town on loan.

The England youth international is about to become Paul Hurst's first signing as Tractor Boys manager, the club have confirmed via their official Twitter account.

Chalobah followed in the footsteps of his older brother Nathaniel by emerging from Chelsea's youth academy, but he is yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues.

The 18-year-old was part of the England Under-19s side which won the European Championships in 2017 and has captained the Three Lions at various youth levels.

Meanwhile, Ipswich have also confirmed that striker David McGoldrick has left the club following the expiration of his contract.
