Brentford are reportedly set to rival Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe.

The Bees have already made one signing in the January transfer window, recruiting Turkish youngster Yunus Emre Konak from Sivasspor.

While Konak is set to spend time with the club's B team, Brentford are now looking to bring in immediate reinforcements to Thomas Frank's side.

They are believed to be close to strengthening the left side of their defence with the loan signing of Tottenham Hotspur's Sergio Reguilon.

In addition to bolstering their full-back options, Brentford are also keen to recruit a new winger before the end of the month.

According to Sky Sports News, they are showing an interest in Rowe, who has also emerged as a target for fellow Premier League side Tottenham.

Rowe has been in fine form for the Canaries this season, having scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 28 competitive appearances.

After making an impression at club level, the 20-year-old earned a call-up to the England Under-21 side in October, scoring on his debut in a 9-1 win over Serbia.

Norwich could be under pressure to sell one of their key players, with just 18 months left to run on his current contract.

In addition to Rowe, the report claims that Brentford are also monitoring Club Brugge's Antonio Nusa and Hoffenheim's Maximilian Beier.

Nusa has registered three goals and three assists in 25 appearances for the Belgian side this season, while he has also earned four caps for Norway at the age of 18.

The teenager, who is under contract until June 2027, has previously been linked with Brentford's fellow London clubs Chelsea, Fulham and Tottenham.

Beier is also on Brentford's radar after netting six goals and contributing four assists in 16 Bundesliga matches this season.

Although he has previously operated on the flanks, the 21-year-old has primarily been utilised as a centre-forward during the current campaign.

With Nusa and Beier unlikely to leave in January, Rowe appears to be the most viable option, especially as Brentford's prime target Assane Diao looks set to remain with Real Betis for the time being.
