Saturday's Premier League football predictions including West Ham vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including West Ham vs. Chelsea.

West Ham vs. Chelsea (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Chelsea will be looking to stretch their advantage at the top of the Premier League table to four points when they travel to fourth-placed West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues will enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 victory at Watford on Wednesday, while West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton & Hove Albion on the same night.

We say: West Ham United 1-1 Chelsea

There has not been a draw between these two teams since September 2018, but we are struggling to separate them in this contest. A point would be a better result for West Ham than it would be for Chelsea, and we believe that the Hammers have enough about them to hold the league leaders to a score draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Newcastle vs. Burnley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Seeking their first Premier League win of the season at the 15th attempt, Newcastle United welcome fellow strugglers Burnley to St James' Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Magpies played out a 1-1 draw with Norwich City in midweek, while Sean Dyche's men took a point from their meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

We say: Newcastle United 2-1 Burnley

Finding the back of the net has never been a problem for this Newcastle side, and failure to beat Burnley on their own patch would certainly spell danger for the rest of the season.

The Clarets have developed a resilient streak of old in recent weeks, but we are backing Newcastle's talented attack to finally fire them to a first win of the 2021-22 campaign here.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Southampton vs. Brighton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Seeking to put an end to abysmal winless streaks in the Premier League, Southampton welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to St Mary's on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts drew 2-2 with Leicester City in midweek, while the Seagulls make the journey across the South Coast after taking a point home from West Ham United.

We say: Southampton 0-0 Brighton & Hove Albion

There has not been a goalless stalemate between these two clubs for over 10 years, but it is extremely difficult to separate them on this occasion.

The Saints have taken 10 points at home, while Brighton boast 10 on the road this term, and we can envisage defenders taking centre stage as both sides cancel each other out down south.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Wolves vs. Liverpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Facing a true test of their defensive mettle, Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Liverpool to Molineux for Saturday afternoon's Premier League battle.

Bruno Lage's side could not find a way past Burnley in midweek, whereas the Reds comfortably saw off Everton in the Merseyside derby.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 Liverpool

Wolves have not become renowned for enthralling goal-fests in recent weeks, but their hopes of ending Liverpool's two-goals-per-game streak are slim to none here.

Tired legs may come into play for both sides, but we still expect the ruthless Reds to extend their winning streak versus Wolves, with another clean sheet to boot.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Watford vs. Man City (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Seeking to keep the pressure on Premier League table-toppers Chelsea, Manchester City travel to Watford for Saturday evening's encounter.

The hosts went down 2-1 to the Blues in midweek, while Pep Guardiola's men saw off Aston Villa by the same scoreline.

We say: Watford 1-3 Manchester City

Watford deserve immense credit for the way they took the game to Chelsea amid the difficult circumstances, but a lack of defensive discipline could cost them dear once again.

City's attacking line has been bolstered by the returns of Foden and Grealish, and with Guardiola's side developing a ruthless streak away from home, we do not expect any surprises at Vicarage Road.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
