Slavisa Jokanovic distances himself from Chelsea job

Slavisa Jokanovic says that he is only committed to Fulham following recent reports that he is in the mix to replace Antonio Conte as Chelsea manager.

Slavisa Jokanovic has played down links with the Chelsea job by insisting that he only has time to think about helping Fulham to Premier League promotion.

The 49-year-old recently emerged as a left-field candidate for the top job at Stamford Bridge, which is expected to become vacant once Antonio Conte is sacked in the coming days.

Jokanovic spent two years in West London during his playing days and has reportedly caught the eye of Chelsea chiefs with his style of play at Fulham.

Speaking ahead of Saturday afternoon's Championship playoff final against Aston Villa, however, the Serb told reporters: "I have enough of an important job with this moment to think about this kind of situation.

"It is my only commitment and I am only thinking about the final and I don't have time to be thinking about different things."

Jokanovic has previously won promotion to the top flight with Watford in 2015, but he did not stay on for a crack in the Premier League.
