Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted that 'sometimes he hates the job' as it means that he spends less time with his family.

The 48-year-old has opened up in the past on his pain of spending time away from his Italy-based wife and children during his first season at Stamford Bridge, which ended with him lifting the Premier League title.

Former Juventus and Italy boss Conte recently moved his family to London but, despite always wanting to manage a football club, he concedes that it has its drawbacks.

"Yes, [I always did]. I coached my first team when I was 14! I trained a team of elementary school kids," he told GQ. "I always loved it. I always felt I would do this, that this would be my life.

"But sometimes I hate it, you know. Sometimes I hate this job, because sometimes you lose your life. If you want to do this job, to be a good coach, a great coach, you must sacrifice your life and sometimes I hate this.

"I love being with my family. This year will be better because they are moving to England from Italy. But it is not easy because this job is so intense. My mind is always on football."

Conte revealed last month that he does not intend to "stay abroad for too long" as he is keen to return back to his Italian homeland.
