Cesar Azpilicueta urges teammates to keep their cool at Wembley

Cesar Azpilicueta admits that Chelsea have made life "really difficult" for themselves of late due to a flurry of red cards.

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has confessed that his side have made life tough for themselves after seeing red in each of their past three competitive fixtures.

The Blues had Victor Moses sent off in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal in May and Pedro against the same opponents in this month's Community Shield, both coming at Wembley Stadium.

Having also seen Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas dismissed in the Premier League opener to Burnley last time out, ending in a shock 3-2 loss on home soil, Azpilicueta has warned that he and his teammates must keep their cool on their latest trip to the national stadium to face Tottenham Hotspur.

"If you see the last season when we were champions, we didn't get a red card until the FA Cup final and now we have had one in the Community Shield and against Burnley," the London Evening Standard quotes him as saying.

"When we are down to 10 men it is really difficult so we have to learn from this and hopefully we can do something on Sunday. We know it is difficult 11 against 11 in this League so obviously when you are 10 against 11 it is even harder."

Chelsea have lost just two of their last 17 meetings with Tottenham in league and cup, with eight of those ending in victory.
