Bournemouth show interest in Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor?

By , Reporter | 5d
Premier League outfit Bournemouth are reportedly considering a January bid for Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor.

Bournemouth have reportedly identified Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor as a potential January signing.

The Cherries have spent the first half of the Premier League campaign in the top half of the table, but manager Eddie Howe will be active in January due to the season-ending injury to Lewis Cook.

According to The Scottish Sun, Howe could make a move for McGregor having been a long-term admirer of the Scotland international.

The 25-year-old has come through the youth ranks at the Glasgow giants to establish himself as one of the club's key men, with 34 goals being scored in 198 appearances in all competitions.

Brendan Rodgers will not be keen on parting ways with McGregor at the midway point of the campaign, but the Northern Irishman remains in a strong position with McGregor having a contract which does not expire until 2021.
