Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon wary of "difficult" clash with Hibernian

Craig Gordon believes that Hibernian could break into the top three of the Scottish Premiership this season and also pose a threat to Celtic's unbeaten domestic run.

Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has tipped Hibernian to break into the top three of the Scottish Premiership this season.

Former Hoops boss Neil Lennon guided the Edinburgh outfit back into the top flight last season and up to fourth in the table, one point behind Rangers in third.

Celtic, who are yet to lose in the league this season, travel to Easter Road on Sunday, and Gordon believes that Hibs could pose a threat to his side's unbeaten domestic run.

"They could get close [to the top three]," Gordon told Sky Sports News. "They are a good team and when they play well they're a match for any team in this league. If they can find that consistency then they have every chance of getting to the top end of the league.

"They're a good team and have some good players who can change games. They have a lot of guys who can score goals and have threats in good areas so we know we will have to go there and play really well to keep our run going.

"It's a difficult place to go and on the back of a difficult European game we want to get back to winning ways, so it's a difficult one for us but one we're looking forward to, as I'm sure Hibs are as well."

Celtic go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Anderlecht on Tuesday which nevertheless saw the Bhoys qualify for the Europa League.
