Sean Dyche: 'Michael Keane just another former Burnley player'

Burnley boss Sean Dyche insists that he will not overthink a potential reunion with Michael Keane, describing the new Everton signing as "just another player".

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has vowed not to overthink a potential reunion with ex-player Michael Keane when the Clarets travel to Everton.

The 24-year-old enjoyed three impressive seasons at Turf Moor before joining the Toffees this summer in a deal that could rise to £30m.

Although Keane is a doubt for Sunday's fixture because of a foot injury, Dyche insists that it will be business as usual if the former Manchester United man does line up against Burnley.

"It will be like facing anyone, he's just another player who has come through us," the Clarets boss told Sky Sports News.

"Very good player, very good person as well, like him a lot and I think he's going to continue to improve.

"But there will be no overthinking it. I'll say hello before the game, get on with the game and hopefully see him afterwards."

Keane made 108 appearances for the Lancashire club between 2014 and 2017 in a loan spell from Man United followed by a permanent stint at the club.
