Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly identified Genk midfielder Sander Berge as a potential deadline-day signing.

The Seagulls broke their transfer record in order to bring in Neal Maupay from Brentford earlier this week, adding to the big-money arrivals of Leandro Trossard and Adam Webster.

However, it appears that Brighton are not ready to end their spending spree as they allegedly look to spend £28m on one of European football's top prospects.

According to The Mirror, the Premier League outfit are keen to add 21-year-old Berge to their squad after he impressed for both club and country over the past two years.

Berge has spent the past three seasons competing in Belgium's top flight, while 12 appearances have already been made for Norway on the international stage.

Sheffield United and Lazio have previously held an interest in the player.
