Bournemouth midfielder Emerson Hyndman is reportedly on the verge of joining Wigan Athletic on loan.

The USA international will remain with the Championship outfit for six months, according to The Sun.

Hyndman enjoyed a successful half-season loan at Rangers in 2016-17, but has struggled to break into the Bournemouth team since returning to the south coast.

The Cherries, however, are said to have high hopes for him in the future and are keen to help him develop.

Hyndman has earned two caps for the USA.
