Saturday's Championship predictions including Bournemouth vs. Fulham

:Headline: Saturday's Championship predictions including Bournemouth vs. Fulham: ID:483964: from db_amp
Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Bournemouth vs. Fulham.

Luton vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Luton Town will be bidding to make it three Championship victories in a row when they welcome Blackpool to Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon.

The home side are currently fourth in the table, six points ahead of seventh-placed Millwall in the race to secure a playoff spot, while Blackpool sit down in 16th position in England's second tier.

We say: Luton Town 2-1 Blackpool

Luton are closing in on a spot in the playoffs, and we are expecting the home side to triumph here. Blackpool have a lot of talent in the forward areas and should be good enough for a goal on Saturday, but Luton should just about get there despite having a number of injury problems at the worst time of the season.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Bournemouth vs. Fulham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Fulham make the trip to Bournemouth knowing that they will effectively secure the Championship title if they can collect three points at the Vitality Stadium.

After the Cottagers already earned promotion back to the Premier League earlier this week, Bournemouth will move to the brink of joining Saturday's opponents if they can prevail on the South coast.

We say: Bournemouth 1-2 Fulham

With their main objective already secured, Fulham can play with a sense of freedom on Saturday. Although there is an argument that Bournemouth having more to play for could benefit the home side, we feel that it will be the Cottagers who will have the edge, prevailing by the odd goal in three.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Birmingham vs. Millwall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Seeking to boost their hopes of securing a Championship playoff place, Millwall will take on Birmingham City at St Andrew's on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts have won only one of their last five games on home soil, while the visitors have failed to win any of their last four matches on the road.

We say: Birmingham City 0-2 Millwall

While the pressure will be on playoff-chasing Millwall to claim maximum points, there is also plenty of pressure on Birmingham, with their supporters desperate to see a response to their heavy defeat on Monday.

Millwall have fared better on home soil this season, but we can see them ending a four-game winless away run with victory over their out-of-form counterparts on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Derby vs. Bristol City (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Already-relegated Derby County head into Saturday's Championship fixture with Bristol City looking to retain their pride ahead of dropping into the third tier.

Meanwhile, the visitors, who have put together a rare three-match unbeaten streak, travel to Pride Park with trying to claim 17th position in the standings their realistic aim for the rest of the season.

We say: Derby County 2-1 Bristol City

For all of their struggles away from home, Derby have been outstanding at Pride Park, and it makes them clear favourites to claim three points from this fixture. While Bristol City possess a greater sense of belief off the back of their recent improvements, the Rams should have enough to come through this game.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Hull City vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Reading will travel to the MKM Stadium to face Hull City on Saturday afternoon requiring just one Championship victory to confirm their Championship survival.

The Tigers, meanwhile, are already mathematically safe but they will be looking to claim back-to-back home victories after beating Cardiff City 2-1 on Good Friday.

We say: Hull City 2-2 Reading

A closely-fought contest between two evenly-matched sides could be on the cards this weekend, and with both teams having looked defensively vulnerable throughout this season, goals are to be expected at the MKM Stadium.

Reading will be seeking victory as they bid to confirm their Championship status, but we feel that the spoils will be shared on this occasion.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Peterborough vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Nottingham Forest square off against Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon looking to take a further step towards securing their place in the Championship playoffs.

Meanwhile, Posh play host to one of the form teams in the division knowing that only victory will do if they want to avoid relegation to League One with two matches to spare.

We say: Peterborough United 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Peterborough's recent improvements have gone unnoticed by some, and Posh will feel like they are live opponents against a team of Forest's quality. That said, we cannot see the home side being able to keep Forest down to just a couple of goals, leading us to predict a convincing away victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Sheff Utd vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Sheffield United will be looking to boost their playoff hopes when they welcome Cardiff City to Bramall Lane for their Championship encounter on Saturday.

The Blades have failed to win any of their last three league games, while the Bluebirds will be seeking to avoid a third consecutive defeat.

We say: Sheffield United 2-1 Cardiff City

Both sides will be keen to turn their fortunes around but there is more riding on this fixture for Sheffield United as they bid to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Cardiff have caused problems at Bramall Lane in recent years but we can see the Blades edging out the Bluebirds to secure a slender victory this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Stoke vs. QPR (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Queens Park Rangers face Stoke City on Saturday afternoon knowing that they realistically require all three points if they are to remain competitive in the Championship playoff race.

The Potters have long been out of the fight for the top six, but the home side have bounced back recently with four victories from six matches.

We say: Stoke City 1-1 Queens Park Rangers

While QPR will not necessarily go gung-ho into this fixture, Warburton is aware that a front-foot performance is required. However, despite their average home record, Stoke have the quality to more than match their opponents, leading us to predict a competitive share of the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Swansea vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Middlesbrough make the long trip to play Swansea City on Saturday afternoon knowing that they must end a four-game winless streak in the Championship sooner rather than later.

At a time when Boro sit three points adrift of the playoff places, Swansea have recently moved into 13th position in the standings courtesy of a seven-game unbeaten run.

We say: Swansea City 1-1 Middlesbrough

Despite their capitulation at Reading, there is an argument that Swansea are the marginal favourites to prevail from this fixture. Nevertheless, Boro will surely end their barren spell in front of goal soon, and it may be enough to earn a share of the spoils from this contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

West Brom vs. Coventry (Saturday, 3.00pm)

West Bromwich Albion will welcome Coventry City to The Hawthorns for their Championship encounter on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides suffered heavy defeats on Easter Monday, with the Baggies conceding four goals away at Nottingham Forest, while the Sky Blues conceded three at home to Bournemouth.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Coventry City

West Brom and Coventry have both struggled for consistency in recent weeks and so neither team head into Saturday's contest with any momentum.

The Sky Blues could move to within one point of the playoffs with victory at The Hawthorns, but with little to separate these two sides, a score draw may be on the cards.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
