Bundesliga week 31 predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Monchengladbach

:Headline: Bundesliga week 31 predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Monchengladbach: ID:402297: from db_amp
Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of the Bundesliga's week 31 matches, including Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Monchengladbach.

Hoffenheim vs. RB Leipzig (Friday, 7.30pm)

RB Leipzig will be looking to move to within a point of second-placed Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga table when they travel to Hoffenheim on Friday night.

Julian Nagelsmann's side were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club Paderborn last weekend, while seventh-paced Hoffenheim will enter the match off the back of a 2-2 draw with Fortuna Dusseldorf.

We say: Hoffenheim 1-2 Leipzig

Hoffenheim have lost eight times on home soil in the Bundesliga this season, while Leipzig have the second-best away record in the division, recording nine wins from 15 matches. We are expecting a tight game on Friday evening but expect the visitors to put an important three points on the board.

Wolfsburg vs. Freiburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Two sides vying for a spot in European competition for next season will lock horns in the Bundesliga on Saturday as Wolfsburg play host to Freiburg at the Volkswagen Arena.

Both clubs go into the tie following 1-0 victories last week, with Wolfsburg overcoming Werder Bremen while Freiburg recorded a hard-fought win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

We say: Wolfsburg 1-1 Freiburg

This is a difficult one to call. Both sides will be desperate to further their charge for a spot among Europe's elite, but Wolfsburg have struggled on home turf while Freiburg's away record is nothing to write home about. As a result, we cannot separate these two sides.

Dusseldorf vs. Dortmund (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Two Bundesliga clubs needing three points for entirely different reasons will meet on Saturday as Fortuna Dusseldorf play host to Borussia Dortmund at the Merkur Spielarena.

The sides are separated by a whopping 35 points in the table after 30 games, with Dusseldorf sitting in 16th while Dortmund lie in second as things stand.

We say: Fortuna Dusseldorf 0-3 Borussia Dortmund

Dusseldorf are in a desperate situation at the foot of the table and will no doubt be hopeful of causing an upset this weekend, but Dortmund have swept aside almost everything before them recently and we cannot see any other result than a comfortable away victory.

Hertha Berlin vs. Frankfurt (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt will both be looking to bounce back from defeats when they face off at the Olympiastadion on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts suffered their first defeat under Bruno Labbadia last time out, while Frankfurt lost to Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal semi-finals in midweek.

We say: Hertha Berlin 2-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Frankfurt have won only one of their last six league trips to Hertha and have failed to score in four of the last five such meetings.

The visitors have struggled defensively since the Bundesliga returned, whereas Hertha - last week's loss to Dortmund aside - have looked good at both ends, so we are backing them to win this one.

FC Koln vs. Union Berlin (Saturday, 2.30pm)

FC Koln play host to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon knowing that victory could be enough to secure their top-flight status for another 12 months.

Meanwhile, Berlin make the trip to the RheinEnergieSTADION with the opportunity to move level on points with their next opponents, who sit in 12th position in the table.

We say: KC Koln 1-1 Union Berlin

Given the respective winless streaks of the two teams, we can only predict that a draw will be played out on Saturday. With just four games to go, there is an argument that such a result would be welcomed by both sides as they look to maintain distance to Dusseldorf and Bremen.

SC Paderborn vs. Werder Bremen (Saturday, 2.30pm)

The Bundesliga's two bottom sides will face off in a relegation showdown this Saturday as SC Paderborn welcome Werder Bremen to the Benteler Arena.

Paderborn go into the tie following a 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig, whereas Bremen suffered a damaging 1-0 defeat to Wolfsburg last time out.

We say: Paderborn 0-1 Werder Bremen

At a time when every side battling to avoid the drop needs to pick up as many points as possible, something has to give. Bremen have enjoyed some decent success on the road this season, however, and we expect Kohfeldt's side to take the spoils and all but confirm Paderborn's relegation.

Bayern vs. Borussia M'bach (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Bayern Munich can wrap up the Bundesliga title this weekend as they prepare to welcome Borussia Monchengladbach to the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.

Monchengladbach are holding on to the fourth and final Champions League spot and will be looking to recover from a disappointing defeat to Freiburg last time out.

We say: Bayern Munich 2-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Bayern's dominance of the Bundesliga scene is showing no signs of letting up anytime soon, but they will be without some of their big-hitters for the visit of Monchengladbach. We are still backing Flick's men to get the job done, but the away side are certainly not to be underestimated.

Mainz 05 vs. Augsburg (Sunday, 2.30pm)

Mainz 05 play host to Augsburg on Sunday afternoon with just one point separating the two teams in the Bundesliga standings.

While the home side sit in 15th place, three points ahead of Fortuna Dusseldorf, the visitors currently occupy 13th position ahead of attempting to mathematically guarantee their top-flight status for another 12 months.

We say: Mainz 05 1-1 Augsburg

Like many teams in and around them in the standings, onus is currently being placed on not suffering defeat, rather than taking risks with pushing for all three points. Right now, a draw would be deemed acceptable by both clubs, and a low-scoring affair could play out.

Schalke vs. B. Leverkusen (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Bayer Leverkusen make the trip to the VELTINS-Arena on Sunday afternoon looking for a victory which will boost their chances of achieving Champions League football for next season.

Meanwhile, Schalke 04, having ended their run of defeats last weekend, know that an end-of-season push is required to finish in the top half of the Bundesliga standings.

We say: Schalke 04 1-3 Bayer Leverkusen

Aware that they can ill-afford many more dropped points, we expect Leverkusen to attack Schalke from the off on Sunday. Should they succeed in finding an early goal, the visitors may enjoy a comfortable afternoon.
