Tottenham complete a deal for Ainsley Maiitland-Niles while Sessegnon is a reported target for Newcastle.

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be busy during this summer's transfer window despite the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

Spurs are unlikely to be able to spend big money on new players ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, but it is clear that head coach Jose Mourinho wants to improve his squad.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Wednesday morning's Tottenham Hotspur transfer roundup:

Three clubs interested in Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles?

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly attempt to sign Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles during this summer's transfer window.

Spurs were first credited with an interest in the 22-year-old earlier this week and now Sky Sports News claim that three clubs are weighing up summer moves.

The report does not mention Jose Mourinho's side but says that two Premier League outfits are keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding the versatile operator.

Maitland-Niles featured on 32 occasions for Mikel Arteta's team during the 2019-20 campaign but is allegedly not part of the club's plans moving forward.

Newcastle United to move for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ryan Sessegnon?

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in securing a season-long loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ryan Sessegnon.

The 20-year-old, who joined Spurs from Fulham last August, only made 12 appearances in all competitions during the 2019-20 campaign, including just six in the Premier League.

According to The Sun, Newcastle are interested in a loan move for the left-sided player and could make an approach in the coming weeks.

Sessegnon penned a six-year deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium upon his arrival last summer.

Tottenham complete Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg signing from Southampton

Tottenham have completed the signing of midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton on a five-year contract.

The 25-year-old was stripped of the captaincy at Southampton after making it clear that he would not be signing a new contract with the club, which was always going to lead to a summer exit.

Everton have been strongly linked with the former Bayern Munich youngster, but Spurs have announced that they have signed him on a five-year deal.

Jose Mourinho's side are believed to have paid an initial £20m for the Denmark international, although the final price could eventually rise with various add-ons.
