Aston Villa 'considering bid for Jeremy Doku'

Aston Villa may reportedly consider a move for Rennes winger Jeremy Doku later in the summer transfer window.

Unai Emery is currently looking to further strengthen his first-team squad having already secured deals for Pau Torres and Youri Tielemans.

If reports are to be believed, a versatile attacker is next on the agenda, with the West Midlands outfit being linked with several different names.

Earlier this week, it was suggested that AC Milan's Charles de Ketelaere and Bayer Leverkusen's Moussa Diaby were each on Emery's shortlist.

    Al-Ahli 'pushing to sign Newcastle's Allan Saint-Maximin'

Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin has reportedly attracted interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.

The 26-year-old has been tipped to depart St James' Park as the Magpies look to balance their books to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Newcastle have forked out in excess of £250m on new signings since the Saudi-backed takeover was completed in November 2021, including the £55m spent on midfielder Sandro Tonali this summer.

Manager Eddie Howe recently acknowledged that his side are having to work to "a very strict budget" this summer, suggesting that first-team players could be sold to free up funds for further additions.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge, although the exact length of his contract has not been disclosed by the club.

The fee to take Angelo to West London is understood to be around €15m (£12.8m).

Angelo is now expected to join his new teammates on their pre-season tour of the United States, although he is likely to be sent out on loan for the 2023-24 campaign, with Strasbourg an option.

Al-Ahli 'yet to submit Mahrez bid despite scheduling medical'

Al-Ahli have reportedly scheduled a medical for Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez, although they are yet to submit a formal offer.

The 32-year-old has been strongly linked with a summer switch to Al-Ahli in recent weeks, with one report claiming that he is closing in on a move to the Saudi Pro League club.

Mahrez has spent the last five seasons at Man City since joining the club from Leicester City, scoring 78 goals and registering 59 assists in 236 matches across all competitions as well as winning 11 trophies including four Premier League titles.

The Algeria international hit double figures for goals and assists in the Citizens' treble-winning campaign in 2022-23, contributing with 15 goals and 13 assists in 47 games, including 10 Premier League assists – one of only six English top-flight players to reach double figures for assists last season.

Liverpool 'still interested in Sofyan Amrabat as Fabinho replacement'

Liverpool reportedly still hold an interest in Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat as Jurgen Klopp plans for life after Fabinho.

Al-Ittihad are in talks with the Reds over a £40m deal for the Brazilian, who has not made the trip to Germany for a pre-season training camp while negotiations rumble on.

Fabinho is understood to have agreed personal terms with Nuno Espirito Santo's side, who are now discussing the key details of the deal with their Merseyside counterparts.

While there is still work to be done before Fabinho can be released from his Liverpool contract, the Reds will not stand in his way of a departure if the price is right.

Fabinho 'agrees personal terms with Al-Ittihad'

Liverpool and Al-Ittihad are reportedly in talks over the "key details" of Fabinho's proposed move to the Saudi Arabian champions after the midfielder gave the green light to a transfer.

Fabinho is believed to have been the subject of a £40m bid from Nuno Espirito Santo's side and has been left out of the Reds' squad for their pre-season training camp in Germany as talks continue.

The former Monaco man is still contracted to Jurgen Klopp's side for another three years, but his form took a nosedive during Liverpool's challenging 2022-23 season.

Should the Reds be able to get a new number six through the doors in the coming weeks, Fabinho's departure will likely be given the green light as Klopp refreshes his midfield with young talent.

Pickford confirms Everton stay following Man United, Spurs links

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has confirmed that he will be remaining at Goodison Park for the 2023-24 campaign despite links with a move to one of the Big Six sides.

The England number one has played a pivotal role in keeping Everton afloat in the top flight for the past couple of seasons and remains Gareth Southgate's undisputed first choice for the Three Lions.

However, Pickford has naturally been linked with a departure from the Merseyside club amid their relegation scraps, especially with Euro 2024 on the horizon.

Both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have previously been credited with an interest in Pickford, but the 29-year-old committed his future to Everton until 2027 back in February.

AC Milan to rival Inter for Arsenal's Balogun?

AC Milan reportedly intend to battle bitter adversaries Inter Milan for the signature of Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

The 22-year-old was an unexpected success story during his loan spell with Reims last season, finding the back of the net 21 times in 37 Ligue 1 appearances.

Balogun's impressive exploits in France caught the eye of the USA international team, and having played for England at youth level, he pledged allegiance to the Stars and Stripes earlier this year.

The former Middlesbrough loanee took no time at all to adapt to the rigours of senior international football, scoring in his second appearance against Canada in the final of the CONCACAF Nations League.

Man United 'could make six new signings if Sheikh Jassim wins takeover race'

Manchester United could reportedly try to bring as many as six new players to the club if Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani wins the race to take over the club.

Eight months on from the Glazers initially announcing their willingness to work with new investors or sell the club outright, Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have established themselves as the frontrunners.

Sheikh Jassim is believed to be the favourite at this moment in time given his intentions to complete a full takeover whereas Ratcliffe only wants a minority stake to start out with.

However, there is yet to be a significant breakthrough in negotiations with the Glazers, and the saga is hampering Man United's summer transfer business, allegedly to the chagrin of Erik ten Hag.

Transfer rumours: Mane to Al-Nassr, Johnson to Brentford, Ndiaye to Marseille

Al-Nassr are reportedly looking to sign Bayern Munich attacker Sadio Mane during this summer's transfer window.

The Saudi Arabian outfit, who famously signed Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this year, are currently banned from bringing in new players until they pay the money owed to Leicester City for Ahmed Musa.

However, FIFA have said that the suspension will be lifted once the fee, which is said to be just shy of £400,000, is settled.

According to Ariadhiah, Al-Nassr lead the Saudi Arabian interest in Mane, who is widely expected to leave Bayern this summer after struggling to make his mark for the Munich giants last term.

Romelu Lukaku 'to return to Chelsea on Tuesday'

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly set to report back at Cobham on Tuesday, one day after the Blues have jetted off to the USA for their pre-season tour.

The Belgium international is widely expected to be cut from the ranks in the coming weeks, having failed to live up to his £97.5m price tag over the past two seasons.

Just a few months after his lucrative return to Stamford Bridge, Lukaku conducted a bombshell interview with Italian media, opening up on his struggles adapting to Thomas Tuchel's system and desire to return to Inter Milan.

The cash-strapped Nerazzurri could not facilitate a permanent return, but Lukaku was given the green light to head back to San Siro on loan for the 2022-23 campaign, during which he scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in 37 matches.

Napoli 'contact Tottenham over Giovani Lo Celso move'

Napoli have reportedly touched base with Tottenham Hotspur to discuss a possible move for Argentine midfielder Giovani Lo Celso this summer.

The 27-year-old has returned to North London after a productive 18 months on loan with Villarreal, but his future is currently in limbo.

Lo Celso is still under contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for another two years, and he has been included in the Lilywhites' squad for their pre-season tour of Asia and the Pacific.

While the former Real Betis man will likely be given the chance to prove his worth to Ange Postecoglou, a sale could be on the cards if he cannot force his way into the Australian's good books.

Riyad Mahrez 'closing in on switch to Al-Ahli'

Manchester City attacker Riyad Mahrez is reportedly closing in on a move to Al-Ahli, having now come to an agreement with the Saudi Arabian outfit over personal terms.

The 32-year-old has been with the Citizens since 2018, representing the club on 236 occasions in all competitions, scoring 78 goals and registering 59 assists in the process.

Mahrez was again an important player for Man City last term, making 47 appearances, scoring 15 goals and registering 13 assists, but he found it difficult to secure starts in the latter stages of the Champions League and was an unused substitute in the final against Inter Milan.

The Algeria international has another two years left to run on his contract in Manchester, and Man City are believed to be keen to keep hold of him this summer.

The 22-year-old played a leading role in his side's Serie A success last season, scoring 12 goals and registering 13 assists in 34 appearances in Italy's top flight.

Kvaratskhelia also impressed for Napoli in the Champions League, scoring twice and providing four assists in nine outings in the competition, with the Italian team reaching the quarter-finals.

The Georgia international has another four years left to run on his contract in Naples, but he is believed to be wanted by a number of major European clubs.

Manchester United 'closing in on Andre Onana deal'

Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of reaching an agreement with Inter Milan over a deal for Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new number one, having allowed David de Gea to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer at the end of last month.

Onana is Man United's first choice between the sticks, and it is understood that the club are now close to coming to an agreement with Inter over the former Cameroon international.

According to the Daily Mail, discussions between the two teams are 'close to concluding', with Inter expecting to receive £43m for the goalkeeper, including add-ons.

Napoli re-sign Pierluigi Gollini on loan with option to buy

How is Man United's attacking department shaping up ahead of new season?

There is less than one month until Manchester United open their 2023-24 Premier League campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford.

One new signing has arrived this summer, with Mason Mount joining the club from Chelsea, but the Red Devils have thus far been frustrated in their attempts to bring in a new number nine.

It is no secret that Man United need a forward, with Cristiano Ronaldo's departure at the end of 2022 leaving a gaping hole in the squad; Wout Weghorst was signed to fill it, temporarily at least, but it did not happen for the Netherlands international during a loan spell from Burnley.

Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane is the dream target, with Napoli's Victor Osimhen not far behind, but it is unlikely that either will be signed this summer.

Three centre-backs Man United could sign to replace Maguire

Manchester United are attempting to move Harry Maguire on this summer, with the England international not believed to be part of Erik ten Hag's plans moving forward.

Maguire's recent wage increase will make it more difficult for the Red Devils to sell him, but there is allegedly not a shortage of interest, and the 30-year-old is unlikely to be at Old Trafford past the transfer deadline.

Man United have released Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe this summer, while Eric Bailly is also expected to depart on a permanent basis, so it would be fair to assume that a new centre-back would arrive if Maguire leaves.

Here, Sports Mole looks at three possible options for the 20-time English champions, who have Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof as their three main players in central defence.

Leicester 'ready to push for Chelsea midfielder Casadei'

Leicester City are reportedly prepared to push for the loan signing of Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei.

Having suffered relegation from the Premier League, the Foxes are now attempting to rebuild under newly-appointed boss Enzo Maresca.

With a wide array of players having left the King Power Stadium and more likely to follow, the former Manchester City coach has been proactive in the transfer market.

Conor Coady, Callum Doyle and Harry Winks have all arrived from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, and they are all widely regarded as coups for the Championship club.

Wolves 'ready to step up efforts to sign Alex Scott'

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly ready to propose an improved bid for Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott.

The England Under-20 international has emerged as one of the star players in the Championship over the past two years, despite his club failing to challenge for promotion.

Scott has contributed a total of five goals and seven assists from 80 outings in the second tier since the start of 2021-22, also gaining admirers for his general performances.

With two years left on his contract at Ashton Gate, Bristol City do not have to be in a rush to part ways with the 19-year-old, yet there is an acknowledgement that he will eventually be sold.

Xavi Simons leaves PSV to return to PSG

PSV Eindhoven have announced that Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons will be returning to Paris Saint-Germain after just one year in the Eredivisie.

The 20-year-old initially failed to make the grade in the French capital and ran down his contract to return to his homeland last summer, where he shone under the wing of Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Simons came up with a remarkable 22 goals and 12 assists from 48 games in a PSV jersey, helping the Eindhoven giants win the KNVB Beker and Dutch Super Cup.

Nineteen of Simons's strikes came from 34 Eredivisie matches, and he ended the season as the league's second-highest scorer behind 20-goal FC Utrecht attacker Anastasios Douvikas.

Barcelona to use Frenkie de Jong in offer for Bernardo Silva?

Barcelona are reportedly willing to offer Frenkie de Jong to Manchester City in an attempt to bring Bernardo Silva to Camp Nou during this summer's transfer window.

The Catalan outfit are said to be firmly in the hunt for Bernardo this summer, with the club determined to win the race for his signature amid interest from a number of Saudi Arabian clubs.

However, Xavi's side are not in a position to make any big-money acquisitions in the current market due to their financial problems, with their two signings thus far, Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez, arriving on free transfers.

According to FootballTransfers, Barcelona are aware of Man City's interest in De Jong and are considering using the Netherlands international in a swap deal.

Man United owners 'perform U-turn over summer transfer budget'

The club are believed to be closing in on a move for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, meanwhile, with the Cameroonian expected to be confirmed as a Man United player in the near future.

Transfer rumours: Zakaria to West Ham, Livramento to Newcastle, Che Adams battle

West Ham United have reportedly seen their opening offer for Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria rejected by the Old Lady.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach man has been unable to lay down a marker in Turin and is expected to be on the move once again this summer.

Zakaria joined Chelsea on loan last year in a bid to reignite his career, but the 26-year-old was only a bit-part player at Stamford Bridge and managed just one goal in 11 matches.

West Ham are now rumoured to be willing to take a punt on Zakaria, as David Moyes's side search for replacements for Declan Rice, whose £105m transfer to Arsenal was announced on Saturday.

Hoeness confident that Bayern will sign Kane this summer

Former Bayern Munich president and current board member Uli Hoeness is confident that the German champions will be able to sign Harry Kane during this summer's transfer window.

The Munich giants are currently seen as the firm favourites for the Tottenham Hotspur forward, who only has little over 11 months left to run on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Bayern have allegedly already had two offers for the 29-year-old turned down but are now preparing a fresh bid and are growing in confidence when it comes to securing his signature.

The Bundesliga outfit's head coach Thomas Tuchel refused to rule out a move for Kane when questioned on the situation during a press conference on Saturday afternoon.

Sergino Dest planning to stay at Barcelona this summer

Barcelona right-back Sergino Dest has affirmed that he sees himself remaining at Camp Nou this summer amid ongoing speculation surrounding his next career move.

The 22-year-old has struggled to get into Xavi's good books since arriving from Ajax in the summer of 2020 and was loaned out to AC Milan for the 2022-23 campaign.

Dest was unable to reignite his career at San Siro either, only featuring on 14 occasions for Stefano Pioli's side and failing to contribute a single goal or assist.

The USA international was named in the starting XI just twice in the 2022-23 Serie A season, although he was also hampered by injuries and did not make the Milan squad for their final 11 league matches.

Chelsea 'insisting on selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Saudi Arabia'

Chelsea reportedly remain determined to offload Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a club in Saudi Arabia this summer.

After leaving Arsenal in acrimonious circumstances last year - being stripped of the captaincy for multiple disciplinary breaches - the Gabonese attacker reignited his career at Barcelona with 13 goals in 24 games.

In a bid to rectify his previous mistakes in England, Aubameyang touched back down in London to join Chelsea on a two-year deal, reuniting with former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.

However, Tuchel was relieved of his duties only a few weeks after Aubameyang's arrival, and the 34-year-old flattered to deceive during his debut campaign with just three goals in 21 matches.
