Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has vowed to 'give his all' for Barcelona after officially being confirmed as a new signing on Wednesday morning.

The Gabon international has joined the Catalan outfit on a free transfer, penning a contract with Xavi's side until June 2025, which includes the option to part ways in June 2023.

The 32-year-old is in line to make his debut for the club against Atletico Madrid in La Liga this weekend, and he has now spoken for the first time since being confirmed as a Barcelona player.

"I'm very happy, very glad to be here. I'm looking forward to being on the pitch," Aubameyang told Barcelona's official media channel. "It was a long day, but in the end I'm here. I'm looking forward to it.

"I think Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world and it's an honour for me to be here. I have experience. I've played in France, Germany and England. I'm here to help and give my all for the team."

Aubameyang, who saw his relationship with Arsenal break down late last year, has scored 288 goals during his professional career for Dijon, Lille, Monaco, Saint-Etienne, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal.

This season, the forward has found the back of the net on seven occasions in 15 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, in addition to contributing two assists. body check tags ::
