Watford to miss out on Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs?

Watford reportedly end their interest in Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs after refusing to meet his alleged asking price.

Watford have reportedly decided to move on to other targets after being priced out of a move for Kieran Gibbs.

The Arsenal left-back is now regarded as third choice at the Emirates Stadium after the signing of Sead Kolasinac from Schalke 04, and offers are unlikely to be in short supply for a player who has 137 appearances in the Premier League.

However, despite earlier suggestions that Arsenal may lower his asking price of £15m, it now appears that they have decided to stick to their existing valuation of the 27-year-old.

According to the London Evening Standard, Watford refuse to bid that high for Gibbs, who was limited to just 702 minutes of action in the top flight last season.

It has also been claimed that Gibbs's wage demands are too much for the Hornets, leaving Marco Silva to look elsewhere.
