Napoli are reportedly planning to move for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira during the January transfer window.

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has allegedly emerged as a transfer target for Napoli.

Ahead of this season, Torreira acknowledged that he had not fully adapted to life in England after only being used on a rotational basis by manager Unai Emery.

While the Uruguay international is now likely to get more opportunities as a result of Granit Xhaka's recent omission, speculation persists regarding a return to Serie A.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are ready to offer Torreira an opportunity to move back to Italy during the January window.

The report claims that the former Sampdoria man is seen as a direct replacement for Allan, who could be sold in the summer.

With AC Milan also said to be interested, the 23-year-old has reportedly asked Arsenal to consider offers for his signature.
