  • Transfer rumours: Fulham want Ekitike, Alzate attracting interest, Hull chasing Villa winger

Fulham are reportedly keen on securing a deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Cottagers have just parted ways with key man Aleksandar Mitrovic after last season's top goalscorer expressed a willingness to sign for Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.

Marco Silva is not short of central options for the final third having brought in Raul Jimenez from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the Portuguese is known to want to sign an alternative to Mitrovic.

According to The Sun, the Premier League outfit have identified Ekitike as a potential addition and could move for the player over the coming days.

Stoke City sign Serbian winger Nikola Jojic on four-year deal

"I know, as a young player, that I will have a chance to show my quality here and continue to develop my game," Jojic told stokecityfc.com.

"The club showed lots of interest and presented to me from our early conversations that they understand my game, have a project to improve me as a player and will help me to adapt as quickly as possible.

"My best qualities are my finishing, speed and combinations with my teammates and I look forward to showing Stoke City fans what I can do."

Man United-linked Odysseas Vlachodimos 'keen to leave Benfica'

Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos allegedly wants to leave the Portuguese champions amid links with Manchester United.

The Red Devils are said to have identified the Greece international as an ideal backup to Andre Onana amid speculation surrounding the long-term future of Dean Henderson.

Crystal Palace are said to be in talks over a deal for Henderson, while Matej Kovar has already departed Old Trafford to join German giants Bayer Leverkusen.

As a result, Tom Heaton is the only senior backup to Onana at present, but the 37-year-old is currently nursing a calf injury and has less than a year left to run on his contract.

Barcelona to move for Leroy Sane in 2024?

Barcelona are reportedly weighing up an approach for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane in the summer of 2024.

The 27-year-old made a big impression at Manchester City after leaving Schalke in 2016, winning two Premier League titles and hitting double figures in both goals and assists in back-to-back campaigns.

Sane's exploits in the Premier League caught the eye of Bayern, who paid £41.8m to bring the Germany international back to his homeland in 2020, where he has continued to post an impressive set of numbers.

Sane has 40 goals and 37 assists to show from 135 matches in a Bayern Munich jersey, including a brace in his side's opening Bundesliga win over Werder Bremen last week.

Arsenal's Folarin Balogun 'open to Chelsea move'

Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is reportedly open to joining London rivals Chelsea before the end of the summer transfer window.

The USA international is still on the books at the Emirates despite his representatives' efforts to find him a new stomping ground, as the Gunners' £50m price tag is proving problematic for interested parties.

Arsenal are insistent on receiving a club-record fee for the sale of Balogun, who starred at Ligue 1 club Reims with 22 goals during a season-long loan in 2022-23.

Since returning to North London, Balogun was offered first-team minutes by Mikel Arteta in pre-season, but the 22-year-old did not make the squad for either of Arsenal's opening two fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.

Doku 'to undergo Man City medical today ahead of £55.5m transfer'

Jeremy Doku will reportedly travel to the North West to undergo his Manchester City medical on Tuesday ahead of completing his £55.5m transfer from Rennes.

Reports emerged on Monday evening that the two teams had come to an agreement over a transfer fee, and the 21-year-old is understood to have already agreed personal terms.

Doku has been identified as Man City's primary target to replace Riyad Mahrez, who decided to end his five-year association with the Citizens to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli earlier this summer.

A week after his man-of-the-match display in Rennes' 5-1 win over Metz in Ligue 1, Doku was named on the substitutes' bench for the 1-1 draw with Lens on Sunday, with manager Bruno Genesio hinting after the game that the winger could be heading to the Premier League champions.

Newcastle complete signing of Lewis Hall from Chelsea

Newcastle United have completed the signing of teenager Lewis Hall from Chelsea.

The 18-year-old joins the Magpies on an initial season-long loan deal which includes an obligation to make the transfer permanent next summer "based on performance-related criteria" for a fee which could allegedly rise to around £35m.

Hall will wear the No.20 shirt and becomes Eddie Howe's fifth signing of the summer transfer window after Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes, Valentino Livramento and Yankuba Minteh.

Earlier this summer, Hall appeared to be close to penning a new long-term contract with Chelsea before finalising a loan move to Crystal Palace, but the youngster has instead opted to complete a dream move to boyhood club Newcastle.

Chelsea 'on brink of Djordje Petrovic signing'

Chelsea have reportedly moved closer to securing the signing of New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Earlier this summer, head coach Mauricio Pochettino was under the impression that his goalkeeping issues had been resolved with the acquisition of Robert Sanchez from Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, Real Madrid then moved to sign number one Kepa Arrizabalaga on the back of Thibaut Courtois suffering a knee injury that could keep him sidelined all season.

Although Arrizabalaga is only at the Bernabeu on loan, the Spaniard has already expressed his desire to remain at Los Blancos in the long term.

Spurs 'considering offers for Eric Dier'

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to sell Eric Dier before the end of the summer transfer window.

The England international has just entered his 10th season in North London and is currently one of the club's longest-serving players.

A total of 13 goals and 12 assists have come from his 361 appearances in all competitions, but none of those outings have been made during 2023-24.

Dier has not featured in either of Ange Postecoglou's opening two squads since his arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spur collecting four points from those respective fixtures against Brentford and Manchester United.

Barcelona's Alonso 'given chance to return to Premier League'

Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for a club in the Premier League.

Last summer, Alonso brought his long-term association with Chelsea to an end to make the switch to Camp Nou, where he became an important member of Xavi's squad.

The 32-year-old was not necessarily expected to become a regular at Barcelona, yet he would end the season with 37 appearances to his name in all competitions.

Alonso also chipped in with three goals, but failed to provide a single assist - one of his strengths at Chelsea - courtesy of deputising in the middle of the defence rather than regularly featuring at left-back.

Inter Milan forward Sebastiano Esposito joins Sampdoria on loan

Brighton 'closing in on £25m Carlos Baleba deal'

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly closing in on the signing of Lille midfielder Carlos Baleba.

The 19-year-old has emerged as the Seagulls' top target to replace Moises Caicedo, who was sold to Chelsea for a British-record £115m last week.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi revealed last week that Brighton are working to sign a replacement for Caicedo before the summer transfer window closes and that "many midfielders" are on their radar.

Brighton came forward with an opening offer of €16m (£13.8m) including add-ons for Baleba earlier this month, but that bid was rejected by Lille as they value the teenager closer to €30m (£25m).

Transfer rumours: Balogun to Fulham, Sinisterra to Brentford, Meslier to Bayern

Fulham have apparently stepped up their interest in Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun following Aleksandar Mitrovic's move to Saudi Arabia.

Following weeks of speculation, Mitrovic finally completed a big-money move to Al-Hilal last week, leaving Raul Jimenez and Carlos Vinicius to battle for starts at the tip of the Cottagers attack.

However, Marco Silva's side have flattered to deceive in the opening two gameweeks of the 2023-24 season, securing a fortunate win over Everton before a 3-0 humbling at the hands of Brentford.

Arsenal's Balogun has supposedly emerged as an attacking target for the Cottagers, and according to the Daily Mail, Fulham are now intensifying their pursuit of the USA international.
