Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez is reportedly keen on bringing Arsenal coach and scout Francis Cagigao to the Bernabeu this summer.

Cagigao helped Arsenal bring Cesc Fabregas to London when the Spaniard was a teenager, while he also attempted to sign Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique from Barcelona.

The former scout's contract at the Emirates is coming to an end and according to The Sun, Benitez has identified the 45-year-old as key to the acquisition of young players.

Benitez took charge of the Spanish outfit this summer following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti.
